Desktop public preview for Windows
A standalone option for Windows x64. Desktop and the extension have separate releases.

Before you install
Modex Desktop is an early public preview, and the installer is not code-signed yet. Windows will show Windows protected your PC and name an Unknown publisher. To continue, choose More info → Run anyway.
The installed app takes about 1.4 GB, before optional compilers and toolchains.
Verify your download, and what we will never ask you to do
Because it is unsigned, verify the file before you run it. In PowerShell or Command Prompt, in the folder you downloaded to:
certutil -hashfile Modex-Desktop-x64.exe SHA256
Expected SHA-256:
Compare the result with the SHA-256 published on the release page. If they differ, delete the file and download it again — do not run it.
Some antivirus products flag this unsigned installer. A matching SHA-256 confirms you downloaded the file we published.
We will never ask you to disable Windows Defender or any security software. If your antivirus quarantines the download, restore it only after the hash matches the published value.
